Reports:
• The secretary, Jim Brown, reported that we currently have 68 members who have paid dues in 2009 and 2010.
A new member joined in January. His name is Tom Grey and is a Beginner woodturner. Take a moment in February to welcome Tom to the club. Thanks for joining Tom!!!!
Club dues are due now A total of 52 members have paid their dues for 2010. Thank you very much!! Additionally, this is also the time to renew your AAW membership. AAW membership is $48 this year but along with this increase is the addition of two more issues of American Woodturner.
Forty-two members attended the January meeting. All of us enjoyed the excellent information presented by our own member, Brad Sears. Brad demonstrated 3-axis turning for a lidded box. All of us learned a lot about the concept and enjoyed a well executed demonstration of tool and safety techniques. A job well done.
Show and Tell consisted of many members presenting unique items that we can all inspire to. We had many members participate in the President's challenge of turning an item that began with the letter "T". Thanks everyone for your hard work and outstanding turning capabilities.
Announcements:
• The next president’s challenge is to turn something that resembles a mushroom.
