This month demonsrator is Buren Gilpin he's from New Jersey. He's showing us how to dye wood.
(right) This is a piece of holly that has been bleached.

Once the turning has been bleached he begins appling the alcohol based dye with a cotton ball.
He starts with green.
Here he has added blue. The grain really starts to come out.
Buren talked about different applying methods and color combinations.
After the demo he went on to talk about some of his turnings. Nice pieces we all enjoyed them.
