Tom Jones Demo

Tom discussing set of small tools with modified grinds he uses for miniature turning.

Tom using Harbor Freight miniature grinder modified with jigs patterned after Wolverine setup.

Tools efficiently organized in plastic bucket with cut that tool makes drawn on end of handle.
Various methods of mounting blanks were presented.  Tom has found that waste blocks threaded
to match spindle are most effective.

Turning blocks are CA glued to the waste block.
Outside contour of bowl nearly completed, hollowing begun.

Turnings are usually made to 1/12 scale and 1/64 (or thinner) inch thick!
Bowl being parted from waste block (which can be reused several times).
