Neil with two examples of rolling pins, laminated example on left, single turned blank with handle inserts on right.

Neil begins with blank mounted between centers and turned to desired diameter, both ends faced off to assure they are parallel.
Neil emphasized his method of drilling a centered hole through the blank.
Here he discusses the bearing and drill rod, 3/8 inch diameter to be used.

Neil uses several shop made holding aids to securely center and hold the turned pin for drilling.

A Forstner bit initially drills a shallow opening for the bearing. The bearing is removed and drilling is continued with a bit slightly larger than the drill rod.

The opening is completed through the blank using a long bit supported on center with the tool rest.
Finally the blank is reversed and the Forstner bit drills the recess for the bearing on the opposite end.

Completed hole and drill rod inserted. Bearing being inserted onto drill rod.
Handles are then turned, drilled to accept the end of drill rod and super glued into place.
Demo was great lots of laughs. Keep up the good work.
Thanks BK
