Wood Turning Center Trip, January 26th, 2002

On January 26th, 10 members of the Lehigh Valley Woodturners traveled to downtown Philadelphia to visit the Wood Turning Center.  We were met there by Albert LeCoff who graciously gave us a tour of the facility.  Albert went over the history of the center and what it's goals and objectives are.  At the time of our visit, the center was displaying work by the visiting ITE participants.(International Turing Exchange).  In addition, the Center has a permanent collection of over 500 pieces.   These pieces are rotated on a regular basis with other shows that are going on in the Center.  When not on display, this permanent collection is held in a seperate room.  Since our group made arrangements in advance with Albert, we were able to talk him into showing us this storage area.

Thanks to Albert LeCoff and The Wood Turning Center for a wonderfully informative visit.
