March Business Meeting:
The March business meeting was held at Jim Neff's shop. There
was a surprisingly large turnout. President Frank Long was away on vacation. We are not sure if the
two are related.
Our April demonstrator will be our own Bill Grumbine. (See the show and tell
page for a photo of Bill in his turning outfit.) Bill will be demonstrating plates.
Bob Rosand
will be demonstrating in June.
Tony Manella reported that we have $929 in the bank. We will be
using part of that money to buy a Oneway Stronghold chuck for the club lathe.
Our club will
be sponsoring 4 demonstrations at the Lehigh Valley Senior Citizens Center in April. The dates are April
4, 11, 18 and 25th. The purpose of these demonstrations will be to introduce some of the basics of woodturning
to seniors with the hopes of forming regular classes at the facility. If you would like to help, contact
