Welcome to the official Lehigh Valley Woodturner's (LVW) website.

Each month the site will be updated to reflect our monthly meeetings held at Woodcraft (store) located on Lehigh Street, Allentown, Pennsylvania. The LVW meet on the fourth Tuesday of every month from 7:00-9:30pm. Meetings entail discussion on various turning topics, in addition to having live demonstrations by members and/or local artists. Members are encouraged to share their own work and discuss the process of how their demonstrated piece was achieved. For those that are new, have no fear ~ it's not a requirement that you share your work!

Anyone interested in turning is always welcome to join our group! One of the benefits of having a group of turners is that members are open to new ideas and suggestions in their quest of turning that "perfect piece." On occasion, Harry Pye (current LVW president) challenges the members to step outside of their "comfort zone." An example of the "president's challenge" could be to create a lidded box.

Membership to LVW is $20.00 per year. Membership fees help to cover the cost of demonstrations and also allow you to have use of the library whereby you can borrow books and/or videos related to turning.

Our next meeting will be held on  March 23rd the 4th tuesday of the month at 7:00pm.

If you are having any problems or have questions please come early and someone may be able to help.

All LVW members:

I want to remind all of our members that the ‘club’ owns two mini-lathes [a Jet and a General Int’l] which are available to borrow on three month increments.  Just let me know if you have a need to borrow a lathe.  The tools that are available with it are very limited.
